A bit late this week, but here’s a brief report on a Congressional hearing meant to “Respond to the Prescription Drug Abuse Epidemic“. Many demands for swift action were made, which is nice to hear. Hopefully the action will come sooner rather than later.

Dr. Dodes writes about how to measure progress in treating addiction. I’m not sure I agree with the way he presents his model of addiction, but I definitely agree that measuring and treating this disease is more complicated than it seems.
